Our Vision

"Our purpose is to reconnect with the essence of who we really are and why we are here, to overcome the barriers that separate us as people, to fulfil our purpose as individuals and to live together the collective vision of a united humanity".

A simple description of our philosophy

Our experience tells us that

  • As part of the formation of our personality in childhood, we experience and suppress various fears, doubts, aspirations, hurts and pain.
  • These unexpressed feelings become the trigger in later life for our reactions and limiting behaviour.
  • We endeavour to overcome these behaviours and circumstances by thinking of different things to "do" to change them and make them better.
  • Nothing changes

We offer an opportunity to shift this at the root of the "problem"

  • By reconnecting with these feelings and releasing them, we set ourselves free from the tyranny of our own fears
  • We reclaim our vitality and enthusiasm, our power, our health and well-being
  • We begin to understand the part these circumstances have played in shaping us and rediscover a true sense of meaning in our lives
  • We find renewed purpose and a clear direction in our lives from the core of our being.

Our Practice

Soul Purpose draws on the full spectrum of learning in the field of human consciousness to offer course participants a doorway to explore different parts of themselves and so achieve a rounded balance in their own life experience and development.

The disciplines we employ include:

  • Different forms of psychotherapy, particularly transpersonal psychotherapy.
  • Meditation practices and self-discovery techniques including visualisations, guided imagery etc.
  • Bodywork practice, especially Bioenergetics exercises and psychodrama techniques.

Our Primary Sources

In the field of human consciousness, the teaching acknowledges and draws on, in particular, the teachings of

  • Ken Wilber
  • Carl Jung
  • Alexander Lowen
  • Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

Our Methods of Practice

  • Large Group Activities - between 15 - 45 people
  • Small Group Activities - between 5 - 7 people (within the larger group)
  • Individual Exercises, taught on the course to be practised at home
  • 1-to-1 consultation (psychotherapy) or Personal Support, as we call it.

We encourage Course participants to explore as many forms of self-discovery and therapy as they feel interested to do. Massage, aromatherapy, acupuncture, cranio-sacral osteopathy, reflexology, psychic healing, (these are but a few in a list that is extensive) are seen as powerful partners in the journey of self-discovery in the hands of skilled and professional practitioners
