About Us - Who We Are

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world... Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."  Margaret Mead.

Soul Purpose is a limited company registered in England. The company has six Directors, five of whom also teach our courses.

Guy Bolam - Director

Guy runs a small but successful financial services business, which has been in operation for fifteen years. He has a nine-year-old daughter, Rosy. He spends his spare time racing a motorcycle, scuba diving and fly-fishing, presumably not on his home patch in Islington! Guy took his Turning Point in 1998 and has since completed the Trilogy as well as other courses. He came to Turning Point on the recommendation of friends, who spoke so passionately about the course. Like many people, he had no real expectations, but an open mind. Guy describes the experience as waking up to a different perspective on life. As a Director, Guy says he can bring balance and sound business experience to the Soul Purpose board.

Tim Ridge - Director and Teacher

As a 6th generation General Practitioner, Tim comes from a conservative medical background - however he has become convinced of the importance of a holistic approach to well-being, and has trained as an energy healer and is vice-chairman of the national Doctor-Healer Network. He considers that Turning Point and the associated courses are at the leading edge of work on practical interventions at the level of the mind-body connection. Being part of Soul Purpose is part of Tim's life purpose, and gives him a deep sense of satisfaction. The understandings he has gained have been of immense value in how Tim relates to patients and colleagues at work, and his family at home. Tim is married, and both his wife and daughter have also taken the Turning Point and subsequent courses. He has trained to take Introductory Talks for Turning Point, and also the teaching of Meditation. Apart from integrated health - being a co-founder of the Enfield Centre For Natural Health Limited with Margaret Jarrett - Tim's hobbies include watching and reading science fiction, computers, gardening and feline friends.

Mark Reeves - Director and Teacher

Mark’s involvement with Soul Purpose goes back over 15 years during which time he has developed and refined his teaching abilities. What Mark values in life is a sense of community; people coming together and finding connection. “Letting people in has always been the challenge in my life, and that is what has led me into this work”. Mark's insight, wisdom, clarity and humour create an atmosphere in which people feel the safety to open up. He is a natural communicator and has a powerful way of reaching people, with warmth, integrity and care. He is currently undertaking a Masters degree in Transpersonal psychotherapy. Mark lives in Brighton and loves being close to the sea and the surrounding countryside.

Graham Browne - Director and Teacher

Graham has over 25 years experience of teaching in this field of human consciousness, personal development and corporate training, most of which has been spent in the U.K. Graham was born in Sydney, coming to the U.K. in 1985 to direct the Self Transformation Centre, with its head office in Sydney. Graham has a Bachelor of Architecture, a Diploma in Education and a Master of Psychotherapy. With a varied range of professional careers, Graham's own faith and his vision for a non-divisive spirituality has been the driving force throughout his life. His principal interest has always been about why we people do what we do and, that behind our masks, we are all fundamentally the same. Graham's two older daughters, Sasha and Mani, live in Sydney with their own children and Graham and his wife, Sammee, have two wonderful boys, Oscar, 6 and Milo, 3 in 2008. Graham is passionate about life, meeting people, rugby, the theatre, the sea, the sun and, most of all, his family

Michael O'Neill - Director and Teacher

Michael completed the Turning Point trilogy in the early ‘90s and recently completed the six-month Being Leadership In Service (BLIS) course. He has enjoyed a variety of professional careers, firstly in newspaper and national radio journalism and latterly in sales. Currently he is managing director of a telecoms company. Michael’s goals are: to devote substantial time to developing Soul Purpose as a business – including establishing a permanent London centre; teaching the courses; offering Personal Support; and creative writing. He says: “I feel all these activities are aligned within me for the purpose of service, self-development and love and I am delighted to have been invited to join the board of such an incredibly transforming organisation”. Michael graduated with an honours degree in English Literature from Hull University in 1980. He is divorced and has two grown up children, Scott & Rachel. Rachel has also completed the Turning Point. Michael lives with his partner on the south coast. His hobbies include reading and travelling.

Sharon Holmes - Director and Teacher

Sharon completed her Turning Point in July 2006 and within a month joined the Teacher Training Programme of Soul Purpose. She has since completed Nature of Service and Point of Choice and was the Course Administrator for our first Turning Point in Brighton in May 2007.

Prior to this Sharon spent several years studying Tantra and the Art of Sexual Healing predominantly in the UK but also in Italy and Bali. Through these studies she has developed an awareness of the movement of energy through the body and the way lovemaking can be used as a tool to help to heal the shame and guilt we feel around our sexuality in order to treat our bodies with the love and respect they deserve.

In 1986 Sharon graduated with an honours degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies and has used her Spanish in a variety of jobs including teaching, organising congresses in Mexico and Spain and interpreting. At present she works with asylum seekers and is studying for a Counselling Diploma in her spare time. Sharon's hobbies include reading, walking, dancing and spending time with her family. She lives with her partner on the south coast.
