Being Leadership In Service

What is Being Leadership In Service?

Being Leadership in Service (BLIS) is an intense, rigorous and extremely powerful course. Its purpose is to develop in participants the ability to be relied upon to recognise their reactive behaviour and so develop the quality of trust. This quality, described as an accurate self-image, is fundamental to knowing our self in such a way that we are willing to surrender and let go of behaviours that defend our ego. In this process we become more of who we really are, individually and collectively. This willingness and maturity engenders mutual trust and alignment within a team allowing full participation and cooperation. It is a process of growing-up in consciousness.

 

How Is This Achieved?

The powerful group dynamic, in which constant feedback about how we experience ourselves and how others see us, carries us forward enabling us to dismantle the barriers disguising and protecting our true selves. We are increasingly surprised by our potential.

 

Course Structure

The course takes place at a location in London or the Home Counties. BLIS spans a period of six months, including six weekends and ten weekday sessions.

 

Weekend 1 - Initiation of the Vision

  • Declaring our life vision
  • Identifying and sharing our limitations
  • Constructing the life principle of our Ego
  • Creating our support group and Anchor partner

Weekend 2 - Relationships

  • Looking at our experiences with family, friends and colleagues and their shaping influences on our ability to relate.
  • Exploring the ways in which we relate, the quality of our relationships, the roles we play and the values we hold dear.

Weekend 3 - Service, Love, Support

  • Focussing on the qualities and skills needed in supporting others
  • The therapy of Truth-telling
  • Leadership as an expression of our true self
  • Expanding on the teachings of Nature of Service

Weekend 4 - Sexuality

  • Sexuality and love
  • Sexuality as self-expression
  • Choice and desire in sexuality
  • Fears and doubts in sexuality
  • Spirituality of sexuality

Weekend 5 - Owning Organisation

  • Exploring the picture we hold and our experience of Organisations
  • Our roles within Organisations
  • The potential of Conscious Organisation
  • Humanity as organisation

 

Weekend 6 - Final Weekend - Completion of the Vision

  • An opportunity for self-expression using various forms of presentation
  • Summarising the understandings gained during the course
  • Expressing the vision you hold for your future as well as the qualities and aspirations you hold dear

Course participants are required to attend all sessions. It is a prerequisite of the course that participants have completed both Nature of Service and Point of Choice.
